You ask one door this question:

"If I were to ask the other door about which door leads to the city of truth, what would it tell me?"

Wrong. The arguement about this riddle went on for about 15 minuts in IRC until Phy provided the link to explain why you as well as everyone else like yourself were wrong I forgot the link though and am to lazy to search for it

its easy, though i already knew the answer

the 3 guys paid $30 , and got $3 back, so they paid $27

where did the $27 go?
25 to the owner, 2 to the other guy.
25+2 = 27

everyone makes the same mistake, that you should get 30

Yes that is obvious, but the question asks where the other dollar went.
(Which the answer is stupid [being that he paid in change and so there was no other dollar]) x_X

Factorial ftw!

0! = 1

so 0! + 0! + 0! + 0! + 0! = 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5

5! = 120

How much dry dirt (in pounds) and sand (in pounds) is there in a hole that is 9.3 ft deep, and 91.7 inches in diameter located in Australia, non-desert area, ground level and at 23C outside temperature, also with no wind or rain ?

If it's a hole, then I would think that there are 0lbs of dirt and 0lbs of sand in it

ok try this one

On a table are two iron rods- one blue, one red. Other than their color, the only difference between them is that one is a magnet. Their weight, size, and feel are identical. Also on the table are:

A glass of water
A 5 1/4" floppy disk
A spool of thread
Assuming you only have the above mentioned items to work with, what is the easiest method to determine which rod is the magnet?

Magnets have 2 poles but in the middle the two poles cancel out. Whichever bar sticks to the other's middle means it is the magnet. No need for the random pieces of crap.

hehe yep the random pieces of crap were just distraction. stick the 2 bars in a "T" formation. if they stick the upright is the magnet if they dont the crossbar is the magnet.
the magnetic field of a bar magnet is such that it is very strong at each end (the poles) and virtually non existent in the centre. therefore sticking them in "T" formation is the easiest way to ascertain the magnet
